They were Mrs Hilda Ferreira, Mr Roland Fernandes, Late Prof. Anthony Monteiro, Mrs Christine Fernandes, Mrs Elissa Parekh, Mr Clifford Fernandes and Mrs. Bhaktavar Sachinwala.
Prayatna is a registered NGO working in and around the slums of Malad. The target group of Prayatna are women and children staying in these slums. We at Prayatna believe that to build a community, there is no substitute to education and hence our constant endeavour is to encourage parents to educate their children. With this aim in mind we have various projects and programs to enrich the lives of these women and children.
